Local Crime Updates

👮‍♀️ Just wanted to send an update about some local actions this week. Today, I have again been out on foot patrol in Longridge to help deter anti-social behaviour (ASB) and shoplifting, supporting our local community and businesses. As usual, it’s been good to meet some familiar faces, and some new people. 

On Sunday evening, one of my colleagues arrested a 15-year-old male in connection with ASB on Berry Lane at Longridge. This individual is now under investigation as part of our ongoing efforts to tackle these issues. Also, I interviewed a 51-year-old male from Preston, after his arrest for a shoplifting that had occurred at Longridge Booths store. Where a significant amount of alcohol had been stolen. This individual was charged and remanded to appear at court, with also a recall to prison. This recall order was due to the fact he had breached conditions of an earlier prison release.
